The On Cloud Nine® Program
The On Cloud Nine® (OCN®) Math Program uses multisensory strategies to stimulate a student’s ability to image and internalize mathematical concepts. Many students who struggle to learn math lack an internal number line or number sense. By incrementally moving from concrete manipulation to totally imaged mental exercises, students learn to create and use their imagery as their primary anchor for math.
What is Number Sense?
Intuitive Math
Understanding the skills needed to learn is crucial for preparing a student to be independent and successful. Often students who struggle to learn math facts, understand abstract concepts, or navigate word problems lack the ability to internally conceptualize math. These students don’t have a mental image to anchor facts to more concrete concepts. Without a firm foundation to build new concepts on these students often resort to counting on fingers or guessing.
Math requires the use of both Symbol Imagery (quick recall of facts) and Concept Imagery (abstract concepts and word problems) to be truly fluent. These essential skills can be both measured and remediated in students, especially those with diagnosed challenges like Dyslexia, ADHD and Dyscalculia. Many students complete instruction in Seeing Stars® or Visualizing & Verbalizing® before starting work with the OCN® Program.

Three = 3 = ♦♦♦ The most basic form of number sense begins with connecting language, symbols, and imagery. The OCN Program integrates all three to provide students stronger conceptual anchors for mathematics.
Our learning coaches are highly trained interventionists with the right tools, technology, and personalities to create successful learning environments and outcomes. These learning coaches have been assessed and endorsed to have mastery of K-12 Exceptional Student Education by the Florida Department of Education.
We believe that our students benefit when we all speak the same instructional language in session and at home. We provide complimentary training to all of our parents so they can keep the learning going beyond our sessions if they chose.
Our proprietary evaluation takes a look at the real reason why students are not learning to their potential. Completed in only 2-3 hours, we are able to identify the root cause of their struggle and begin development of the remediation plan quickly. If you provide a previous professional evaluation we will also incorporate the findings and recommendations.

Sometimes life is busy, we offer all of our programs at many schools in South Florida and always expanding. Working at your child’s school allows us to be hands on with teachers to deliver truly tailored instruction that complements their school curriculum.
Virtual Instruction
We offer many of our programs online in a safe, secure online & interactive video conference. This is a favorite for many busy families if travel distance to us is inconvenient or you would like to observe the session. It is particularly popular for students out of state or who reside internationally.
Summer & Winter
Use a school break to turn weeks into years of progress! Our intensive sessions each summer and winter allow students all over South Florida to bridge gaps quickly and get back to school on the right path.
International Students
While many of our families reside in the US, we are proud to serve families from all over the world. We offer international students Online Distance Learning (online interactive video conferences) or if visiting during the holidays you can join our Intensive Summer or Winter programs.
